Spices and Herbs in the Kitchen
Our stoneware is designed for daily use. Fired at 2200 degrees for about eight hours, the kiln remains closed for an additional ten hours post-firing. This meticulous process takes place within our studio, ensuring the highest quality pottery for your enjoyment.
Earthenware, a low-fire clay or slip, is primarily used for decorative items and novelty kitchenware. Fired at around 1945 degrees, these ceramic pieces are suitable for occasional use but remain porous, which may cause them to leak liquids over time and are much more fragile.
Porcelain is a high-fire clay similar to stoneware, known for its bright white or translucent finish. At our studio, we exclusively use Frost Porcelain, which poses challenges but yields stunning results. Due to its difficulty and high failure rate, our porcelain offerings are limited.
